Job Description
Digital agency that specializes in public affairs, corporate reputation and social impact is seeking a full-time full time Sr. Media Planner. In this position, you’ll be responsible for media planning and campaign management/optimization on a broad range of corporate, advocacy, and political accounts. You’ll work closely with the team’s leadership and coordinate across teams to plan and execute overall campaign strategy.
Our ideal candidate comes from media or digital marketing agencies. They thrive in fast-paced environments, understand the pace and flow of client expectations while striving to exceed them, and be experienced working with clients and internal teams across multiple states and time zones. This is a growing firm with offices in Washington, DC, New York, Chicago and San Francisco. This hire could be based in any of the agency’s offices, or fully remote & able to work in a continental US time zone.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop plans to align with client/campaign objectives and work closely with client teams to ensure media plans deliver upon the agreed strategies and approach
- Lead campaign implementation/management in regard to: buying, negotiating, implementation, optimization, and analysis
- Present plan recommendations to clients with support from leadership
- Establish specifications and timelines needed for campaign launch and work across teams to ensure successful execution
- Use internal data sources as well as past performance to develop insights and strategy for future efforts
- Work on client/account team requests and prioritize with them based on plan and budget changes, campaign flighting, and marketplace information
- Work with internal analytics team to gauge media performance and determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met
- Improve upon/develop new processes to streamline communication and flawless implementation of plans
- Foster good working relationships across all client teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans
- Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and share knowledge with the team
Desired Skills And Experience
- Demonstrated experience (2+ years) with planning and buying cross-channel media – including digital, OOH, TV, print, SEM, and paid social
- Passionate about the intersection of media, technology, and creative
- A proactive and disciplined self-starter with an innate curiosity for learning new things
- A sense of urgency to get things done one time, and on time
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
- The ability to effectively prioritize projects and produce results in a fast-changing environment
- Working knowledge of planning tools (including but not limited to Global Web Index, comScore, eMarketer)
- Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
