Job Description
Our client, a global healthcare leader and agency network, is looking to hire several roles from Associate Director to VP level in their Strategic Planning discipline.
These roles will be responsible for consumer research & behavioral insights, brand/business planning, competitive positioning, creative briefing, launch strategy, etc. Our ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience in strategy/brand planning roles for an advertising or PR agency, focused on healthcare, pharmaceutical, Rx product marketing, etc. Roles will focus on HCP strategy, or a combination of physician & patient.
While our client is based in the NYC/NJ metro, remote candidates are fine, so long as you’re able to work East coast hours.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Own 3-5 strategic client engagements with minimal oversight from senior leadership and direct contact with client counterparts
- Expertise in strategic planning tools and core competencies: primary research methodologies, secondary research methodologies, positioning, creative briefing, brand/business planning, ideation, brand identity, consumer journeys, and segmentation approaches
- Hold deep understanding of the marketplace, competition, and how products/portfolios fit in
- Moderate and facilitate high-level, interactive strategic conversations with large groups of clients at meetings or in workshop settings
- Manage and guide research partners, as well as develop research methodologies and stimuli
- Drive ideation to uncover strategic opportunities
- Translate findings into insights to fuel strategic communication and great creative
- Drive creative brief development
- Drive new business engagement, including organic growth
- Lead and/or contribute to annual brand/business planning
- Develop and publish thought leadership pieces
- Ensure appropriate scoping of strategic projects
- Cultivate/supervise junior talent
Desired Skills And Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in a strategy role in an agency setting
- Proven expertise in brand positioning, insight generation, and creative brief writing
- Experience leading workshops and facilitating brainstorming sessions
- Experience with both pharmaceutical and public health clients and brands
- Experience working and managing global and local client relationships
- Values an evidence-based approach to work
- Understanding and interest in behavioral science
- Working knowledge of research methodologies required
- Must have a passion for healthcare topics and brands, in particular public health
- Strong presentation skills required
