Want to feel good about bringing a super imaginative idea to life? This week’s post is about a local entrepreneur with a holiday offering. Hope you’ll decide to support her Kickstarter campaign. I thought her books would make a unique gift and fun holiday tradition.
Leslie Lajewski began telling her kids about Santa’s reindeer when her son requested a bell from Santa’s sleigh one Christmas. Being the “overachiever mom” that she is, Leslie wrote a whole letter from one of the reindeer, describing how he came to join Santa’s team. And so their holiday tradition began. Each year, one of the reindeer would send a bell and their own story, often interwoven with an important life lesson, like Always do your best or Play fair.
Leslie decided that she’d love to bring these stories to other families and has started a Kickstarter campaign to publish the first two stories of Donner and Blitzen. She’s at 85% of her goal $16,160 goal, with only a few more days unil the go/no go decision on November 15th.
If you’d like to help her out – and score these books to give as holiday gifts – you can back her Kickstarter campaign, here. But do it now because her deadline is Sunday. For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter, your card is only charged if the project is funded. If this is the case, books would be delivered before the holidays.
Let’s give that Elf some company!
